Review:

This was a super fun, quick, happy read that is perfect for the summer and some good hearted light reading.  The author did a really great job of depicting the struggle of the main character to become her own person while being surrounded by men and just beginning to learn what it’s like to be a woman.  It’s very much a coming of age story and it was a great story at that.  I wish I had a neighbor like Braden, that’s all I’m saying!

We meet Charlie who is constantly surrounded by her three brothers and her neighbor, oh and her cop father too.  She doesn’t have much interaction with girls, so when she ends up having to gt a job and working at a clothing store she starts to realize maybe she was missing some things in her life, which makes her start to think of her mother that much more.  It’s that motherly advice that Charlie needs when she starts feeling things for the Braden, even the slightest touch and her stomach is turned upside down.  There were definitely a lot of swoon worthy parts in this book and parts that made you take that deep sigh and just dream about having your own hot neighbor.  Anyway it was just all so well written and represented all the girl things you have to go through while growing up and how hard it is to actually find yourself, the real you without being influenced by everyone around you.

Overall this story was amazing, it had too many good parts to mention and I’m so happy I picked it up.  The cover is absolutely as adorable as the book and the characters.  Even the father holds a small piece of me now; I’m telling you I want to be an honorary member of this family.  It’s good to do things together, and even though ti’s good to protect people from getting hurt you just can’t protect them from everything.  Sometimes you have to put it all out there so that you can learn from your past.

I loved everything about this book, the characters, the setting, the romance, and especially the story itself.  Really great job of making me smile and giddy like a school girl again.  This is a perfect read to feel a little a pitter patter in your heart for young love.
