Blog Tour: Lost & Found - Review + Giveaway!

Lost & Found
By Nicole Williams
Release Date: May 7, 2013

Description:
There’s complicated. And there’s Rowen Sterling.

After numbing pain for the past five years with boys, alcohol, and all-around apathy, she finds herself on a Greyhound bus to nowhere Montana the summer after she graduates high school. Her mom agreed to front the bill to Rowen’s dream art school only if Rowen proves she can work hard and stay out of trouble at Willow Springs Ranch. Cooking breakfast at the crack of dawn for a couple dozen ranch hands and mucking out horse stalls are the last things in the world Rowen wants to spend her summer doing.

Until Jesse Walker saunters into her life wearing a pair of painted-on jeans, a cowboy hat, and a grin that makes something in her chest she’d thought was frozen go boom-boom. Jesse’s like no one else, and certainly nothing like her. He’s the bright and shiny to her dark and jaded.

Rowen knows there’s no happily-ever-after for the golden boy and the rebel girl—happily-right-now is a stretch—so she tries to forget and ignore the boy who makes her feel things she’s not sure she’s ready to feel. But the more she pushes him away, the closer he seems to get. The more she convinces herself she doesn’t care, the harder she falls.

When her dark secrets refuse to stay locked behind the walls she’s kept up for years, Rowen realizes it’s not just everyone else she needs to be honest with. It’s herself.

Review:

My body is still reeling from this book, I don’t know if the main character invaded my body or what but I felt every single emotion from the first sentence in this book I was committed.  I couldn’t stop smiling and laughing and just feeling all giddy like a little school girl because this book was that good.  I have a completely new character crush on Jesse, the main characters love interest because he sounds like the most amazing man ever, and the charisma is just seeping out of his pores.  Makes me want to go out and find myself a hard working cowboy.

We start the book off with Rowen being sent off to Montana to stay at her mom’s best friend’s house trying to prove to her that she deserves to go to art school.  There she meets the effervescent Jesse, the owner’s son.  He’s charismatic and I have a major crush on him, dimples and all.  They automatically hit it off with the banter back and forth and again I couldn’t stop smiling at reading about their interactions together.  It was fun and even intellectual, I liked it.  Rowen is thrown into this new farm life and it’s interesting seeing her learn new things and begin to trust herself again, showing that she did deserve some good things in life even when she didn’t believe it.

There are other people in this book who don’t believe they should be together and try and tear them apart, but after much needed understanding thing seem to work out but there are still underlying issues with both characters that really surprised me in a way that I thought was good, because I like being surprised and experiencing the unexpected.  Jesse and Rowen have so much in common they don’t even know it yet and both took completely opposite roads, but I’m glad their paths crossed.

This book was an overall really great book and I’m happy I had the change to read it.  The people on the cover are really not what I imagined the characters to look like but it’s steamy and sometimes there are just some great pictures, if that made any sense at all.  Check the book out especially if you need a break from the truly heavy stuff and just want to smile your face off, this is the book for you.  I definitely want to get lost if Jesse Walker can find me!! Just saying!!
